Skrill Supports Transactions with Cryptocurrencies

The leading digital wallet Skrill has added an opportunity to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. So far, transactions can be made with such cryptos as Bitcoin, BCH, Ether and Litecoin.

Customers will be able to buy or sell cryptocurrencies for fiat money. The Skrill wallet supports more than 40 such currencies. The cryptos buy / sell service will be implemented using a well-known cryptocurrency exchange, but Skrill does not disclose its name.

Skrill also plans to launch this new offer on additional markets and add the service to its mobile application and Paysafe Neteller digital wallet in the near future.

"The world of cryptocurrency trading is exciting and dynamic, and our digital wallet service very much lends itself to this environment. I’m confident that the ability to trade in cryptocurrencies quickly and easily through Skrill will appeal to consumers both now and in the future," said Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO of Skrill, Neteller and Income Access.

Currently, the service does not provide an opportunity to pay with cryptocurrencies, only the exchange of cryptocurrencies for fiat money and vice versa. However, in the future, the payment function is likely to become available. At the moment, clients from 30 countries of the world can use the Skrill cryptos buy/sell service. Over time, the list of countries will expand.
